A place on the podium is often only secured by one or two hundredths of a second; winning by such tiny margins is the result of a huge amount of preparation work that requires a large investment. Team 2012 efforts are focused on raising as much money as possible to ensure maximum impact upon team performance in 2012. Public and private companies – and individuals – will all be approached to make a donation to Team 2012.
By way of thanks for large personal and corporate donations Team 2012 is able to provide a series of opportunities tailored to suit the Donor; these may include:
Status as an Official Donor to the Team 2012 Appeal, including:
- The ability to report your support on the relevant section of your website using a logo and official statement (n.b. this is not a marketing right)
- Official Team 2012 items for display or collection
- Signed and framed Olympic/Paralympic kit and memorabilia
The opportunity to attend official Team 2012 events, including:
- Receptions and dinners at Buckingham Palace and the House of Lords
- Events with Olympians and Paralympians
- Events with other sporting celebrities
The opportunity to get “behind the scenes” on the Team 2012 journey, including:
- Visiting athletes in training
- Meeting coaches and performance directors
- Participation in “a day in the life of an athlete” experiences
- Hospitality packages to major championships
- Tickets to UK Sport, BPA and BOA events
