Two representatives from each of the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association, the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games and UK Sport sit on the Governance Board of Team 2012 ensuring integrity and a unified and inclusive approach
British Olympic Association (BOA)
The British Olympic Association (BOA), formed in 1905, is the National Olympic Committee for Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The BOA prepares and leads our nation's finest athletes at the summer, winter and youth Olympic Games, and delivers world-leading services to enable success for athletes and their national governing bodies throughout each Olympic cycle. The BOA has the additional responsibility for developing the Olympic Movement throughout the UK.

British Paralympic Association (BPA)
The BPA operates under the brand name ParalympicsGB and is a registered charity responsible for selecting, preparing, entering, funding and managing Britain' s teams at the Paralympic Games and Paralympic Winter Games. The Paralympic Games take place once every four years (with a Winter Games two years after each summer edition of the Games) in the same city and year as the Olympic Games. The Paralympics are an elite multi-sport event for athletes with a disability and are a direct "parallel" to the Olympic Games - hence the name.

London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG)
LOCOG is responsible for preparing and staging the 2012 Games and is based in Canary Wharf.
It will deliver the best possible Olympic and Paralympic Games experience for everyone involved, ensuring a real legacy and inspiring people to join in.
By the time of the London 2012 Opening Ceremony around 100,000 people will be working on the Games - including 3,000 staff, up to 70,000 volunteers and a large number of contractors.

UK Sport
Established by Royal Charter in 1996, UK Sport works in partnership with the home country sports councils and other agencies to lead sport in the UK to world-class success. UK Sport is responsible for managing and distributing public investment and is a statutory distributor of funds raised by the National Lottery. UK Sport is accountable to Parliament through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
