What is your sporting ambition?
My goal for this year is to qualify for the 2010 World Championships in Korea, where I will be looking to medal. After missing out qualifying for Beijing, I am more determined than ever to represent Great Britain at the London 2012 Paralympics. Our successes this year show that myself and partner Sara Head are becoming a very strong team and we will be going for Gold in 2012.What was your inspiration to take up your sport?
I began playing table tennis socially in 2001, but soon discovered a competitive streak. In 2002, whilst on a management course for work that involved goal setting, I set a personal goal of representing Britain at a Paralympics. It seemed like a crazy goal but the course presenter maintained that “if you can conceive it, you can achieve it” and I became determined to prove him right. What are your interests outside of sport?
