What is your sporting ambition?
To try and win the Americas Cup with ‘Team Origin’ Britain’s entry in the Cup and also to try to defend my Olympic title on home waters in 2012.
What was your inspiration to take up your sport?
My Dad was a huge inspiration for me. He raced in the first Whitbread around the World race back in ’73 and his stories from that race and his enthusiasm for sailing really inspired me.
What are your interests outside of sport?
Golf when I get time and 5 a side Football whenever I am in Lymington which unfortunately is not a lot.
In your mind, what's the most memorable moment of past Olympics/Paralympics?
I thought the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games were a great success, and the most memorable moments were Iain Percy and Bart winning the Star sailing gold in such a dramatic final race, also the Chinese people were great they couldn’t have done more or been more welcoming.
What three words best describe you?
Dedicated, Competitive, Honest
Who should light the flame for London 2012?
