What is your sporting ambition?
I’m sure it’s quite a common one but to win Gold at the London 2012 Paralympics is what motivates me.
What was your inspiration to take up your sport?
I broke my neck playing rugby union and during my rehab I found out that you could play a sport called Wheelchair Rugby. After a “taster day” I was hooked and have been playing ever since!
What are your interests outside of sport?
I love all live music and sport too so I guess going to concerts and sporting events. I also like to travel and see new places whenever there’s time.
In your mind, what's the most memorable moment of past Olympics/Paralympics?
For the Paralympics it was seeing the guy pull himself up to the roof of the stadium in his wheelchair to light the flame in Beijing 2008. It was an amazing moment! For the Olympics it was seeing Usain Bolt finishing the bend of the 200 metres and realising that he hadn’t eased up and was going to break Michael Johnson’s world record.
What three words best describe you?
Confident, committed, passionate
Who should light the flame for London 2012?
For the Paralympics: Dame Tanni Grey Thompson. For the Olympics: The Queen
If you were a character from a film, who would you be and why?
Jackie Moon from “Semi-Pro”. Aside of being a very funny character, the guy just wants to see his team do well and will do anything to achieve that. I’ll do anything it takes for GB to win Gold in London!
